The Challenge
Las Vegas pool party culture is fiercely competitive. Encore Beach Club hosts some of the biggest names in entertainment and attracts a crowd accustomed to premium experiences. A spirits activation had to feel like a natural extension of the pool party experience, not a corporate interruption. The brand needed staff who understood Vegas nightlife culture and could engage with a high-spending, image-conscious crowd without feeling like salespeople.
Encore Beach Club's operational team had strict rules about brand activations: all promo staff had to meet the venue's appearance standards, wear approved attire, and operate within designated activation zones.
The activation had to be executed within a 4-hour window (12 PM - 4 PM) during the club's peak hours, meaning the team had to be efficient, high-energy, and able to handle high-volume sampling in a pool party environment.
The brand wanted a branded cabana experience where VIP guests could sample the product in an elevated setting, requiring staff who could provide bottle service-level hospitality in a marketing context.
Social media content was critical: the brand expected each staff member to be photogenic, comfortable on camera, and able to facilitate content creation moments with guests (Instagram photos, TikTok videos, etc.).
The activation included an afterparty promotion: staff needed to distribute afterparty wristbands to high-value guests, manage a guest list, and drive attendance at the indoor event that evening.
The Solution
Street Teams Vegas provided 8 promotional staff who were selected specifically for pool party and nightlife expertise. All 8 had previous experience working at Las Vegas dayclub and nightclub venues, and 5 had prior spirits brand activation experience. The team was divided into 3 functional roles: cabana hosts, roving samplers, and afterparty promoters.
8 promo staff were deployed: 2 Cabana Hosts managing the branded VIP cabana, 4 Roving Samplers circulating through the pool area with branded trays, and 2 Afterparty Promoters managing the guest list and wristband distribution.
All staff were provided with branded swimwear, sun accessories, and sampling equipment (branded trays, custom glassware, branded cocktail napkins). The visual presentation was designed to blend seamlessly with the Encore Beach Club aesthetic.
The branded cabana featured the limited-edition bottle on display, custom cocktails made with the product, and a photo backdrop with the brand's summer campaign visuals. Cabana Hosts provided a curated tasting experience for VIP guests.
Roving Samplers carried branded trays with pre-mixed cocktail samples and QR-code coasters linking to the brand's Instagram. Each sampler was trained to deliver a 15-second brand pitch: product name, tasting notes, and a prompt to follow the brand on social media.
Street Teams Vegas coordinated with Encore Beach Club's management to secure optimal positioning for the cabana, routing paths for roving samplers, and afterparty signage placement.
The Execution
The 4-hour activation ran from 12 PM to 4 PM on a Saturday, Encore Beach Club's highest-attendance day. The team arrived at 10:30 AM for venue setup, brand briefing, and photo call.
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Setup & Briefing
The team arrived 90 minutes before activation start. The branded cabana was dressed with product displays, custom glassware, and photo backdrops. Sampling trays were prepared with pre-mixed cocktails. The venue's event manager confirmed activation zones and routing. A final 15-minute brand briefing reviewed key talking points, sampling goals, and afterparty promotion targets.
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Pool Opening & Initial Sampling
As the pool filled with the afternoon crowd, Roving Samplers began circulating. The first 90 minutes focused on high-volume sampling to establish brand presence. 600 samples were distributed. The Cabana Hosts welcomed VIP guests with exclusive tastings and the brand's summer playlist. Social media posting began immediately.
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Peak Hours & Social Push
Peak attendance from 1:30-3:00 PM. Roving Samplers increased pace, distributing 900 additional samples. The social media coordinator moved between the cabana and pool deck, capturing content of guests enjoying the product and posting in real-time to the brand's Stories. Afterparty Promoters began targeted outreach to VIP cabanas and high-spend tables. 350 afterparty wristbands distributed.
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Afterparty Push & Close-Out
Final hour focused on afterparty conversion. Remaining 500 samples were distributed with afterparty wristbands attached. The cabana hosted a 'golden hour' toast where the brand's DJ collaboration was announced for the afterparty. 150 additional wristbands distributed. By 4 PM, the afterparty guest list was oversubscribed, 500 VIP reservations for a venue that holds 450 standing.
The Results
The pool party activation exceeded every target metric. 2,000 cocktail samples were distributed in 4 hours, generating 15,000 social media impressions from guest-generated content. The afterparty at the indoor nightclub sold out, with 500 VIP reservations against a 450-person capacity, resulting in a line and exclusivity that further elevated the brand's perception.

500 VIP reservations for 450-capacity venue, line out the door by 10 PM
Individual VIP guest experiences at the branded cabana with personalized tastings

Venue-reported 60% increase in the brand's bottle orders that evening compared to the previous Saturday
The Street Teams Vegas crew understood the Vegas pool party vibe perfectly. They were not corporate promo people, they were Vegas nightlife professionals who happened to be representing our brand. The cabana was packed all afternoon, the samples were flowing, and the afterparty sold out. Our bottle orders at the Wynn were up 60% that night. This is exactly how a spirits brand should activate in Las Vegas.
