The Challenge
Las Vegas has over 30 major nightclubs competing for the same audience every weekend. A new venue, regardless of investment or design, starts with zero reputation, zero regular clientele, and zero social proof. The opening night had to feel like an established, must-be-there event from the first hour, not a soft opening that gradually builds over weeks.
The venue had a 2,500-person capacity but needed at least 2,000 guests by midnight on opening night to create the energy and density that makes a Vegas club feel 'hot.' Anything below 1,500 would feel empty and damage the brand.
The venue's marketing team had handled digital advertising and influencer invitations, but they had no boots on the ground for street-level promotion on the Las Vegas Strip, the single most important channel for driving nightclub traffic.
500 VIP table reservations were needed at an average minimum spend of $2,000 per table, requiring targeted outreach to high-net-worth individuals, hotel concierges, and group organizers in the weeks leading up to opening.
Guest list management for a nightclub opening is a complex logistics operation. The team needed to manage a printed and digital guest list, handle walk-ups, coordinate with security at the door, and manage the line to maintain the perception of exclusivity.
The Strip promotion had to start 7-10 days before opening to build awareness and anticipation. This required street teams working the Strip daily, engaging tourists and locals, distributing invitations, and selling the story of why this was the club to be at on opening night.
The Solution
Street Teams Vegas deployed a comprehensive nightlife marketing campaign across 3 phases: a 10-day pre-launch street team campaign on the Strip, a VIP host program to secure table reservations, and an opening night operations team to manage guest list, door, and VIP arrival experience.
Phase 1 (Pre-Launch): 8 street team members worked the Strip daily for 10 days (5 PM - 12 AM), targeting hotels, casinos, restaurants, and pedestrian traffic with opening night invitations, VIP guest list sign-ups, and venue previews on tablets.
Phase 2 (VIP Sales): 4 dedicated VIP hosts worked their personal networks and hotel concierge relationships to fill 500 VIP table reservations. Each host had established relationships with Las Vegas hotel concierge teams at Wynn, Bellagio, Caesars, Aria, and Cosmopolitan.
Phase 3 (Opening Night Ops): 12 event staff were deployed for opening night: 4 door/guest list team members, 4 VIP hosts inside the venue, 2 street team members outside for walk-up conversion, and 2 operations coordinators.
Street Teams Vegas created a custom guest list management system using QR-code invitations that allowed real-time tracking of confirmations, arrivals, and capacity against the 2,500 limit.
A social media street team of 2 content creators worked the Strip during the pre-launch phase, capturing behind-the-scenes venue footage and posting daily countdowns to build anticipation across the venue's social channels.
The Execution
The campaign unfolded over 2 weeks: 10 days of pre-launch promotion followed by the opening night itself.
Days 1-5: Strip Awareness Campaign
8 street team members canvassed the Strip from The Venetian to Mandalay Bay each evening from 5 PM to midnight. The team distributed 15,000 branded invitation cards with QR codes for guest list sign-up. Each card included a VIP priority entry code for guests who signed up online. 4,200 guest list sign-ups were captured in the first 5 days.
Days 6-10: VIP Push & Concierge Outreach
The VIP host team activated their concierge relationships, visiting 12 major hotel concierge desks with opening night collateral and commission structures. Street teams shifted to targeted outreach at high-end restaurants and hotel lobbies during dinner hours. 380 VIP table reservations were secured by Day 10, with the VIP hosts personally confirming each reservation by phone.
Opening Day: Final Push & Setup
Street teams worked a double shift: afternoon outreach at hotel pools and lobbies (2 PM - 5 PM), followed by Strip promotion (5 PM - 9 PM). The guest list had reached 6,000 sign-ups. The operations team conducted a venue walkthrough, tested the QR guest list system, briefed security, and confirmed VIP table assignments. Final VIP reservations pushed the total to 500.
Opening Night: Execution
Doors opened at 9 PM. The guest list team processed arrivals using the QR system, moving the line efficiently while maintaining an intentional queue for visual exclusivity. VIP hosts greeted table clients at the door and escorted them to assigned tables. By 10:30 PM, 1,200 guests were inside. By 11 PM, the venue hit its 2,000-guest target. By midnight, the club was at capacity (2,500) with a line around the block. The venue's GM called it 'the best nightclub opening in Vegas in 5 years.'
The Results
The opening night delivered 2,000 guests by 11 PM and reached full 2,500 capacity by midnight. 500 VIP tables were reserved with an average minimum spend of $2,000, generating $1M in VIP revenue on Night One. The line outside the venue was documented by multiple Las Vegas nightlife accounts, creating organic social proof that carried momentum into the second weekend.

Direct quote from the venue's General Manager in post-opening debrief
Opening a nightclub in Vegas is sink-or-swim on Night One. Street Teams Vegas understood that. Their street team had 6,000 people on our guest list before we opened the doors. Their VIP hosts filled 500 tables. Their door team moved the line perfectly, fast enough to keep people happy, slow enough to keep the line visible. We hit capacity by 11 PM and had a line around the block. Our second weekend was up 35% because everyone in Vegas was talking about our opening. This team knows Vegas nightlife better than anyone.
